Shaheeera Asante is a British-born broadcaster and environmentalist of Guyanese, Brazilian and Ghanaian heritage. She grew up in Guyana, London and Vancouver Canada. A former award-winning BBC presenter and producer in London, she has many years experience in digital communications, event production and as a guest art curator (V&A). Ms Asante switched careers and personal focus to sustainability, climate action and environmentalism three years ago, having undertaken a post-graduate MSc in Sustainability from the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI), Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge.

Ms Asante is the Founder and CEO of Cambridge Eco Living Festival a city-wide 3-day event launching September 2018 in Cambridge created to bring people, ideas and sustainable living initiatives together as a force for good. The festival is in partnership with University of Cambridge Museum Consortium, Anglia Ruskin University and Cambridge City Council. Ms Asante is also Founder and Designer of Sustainable Diva – an ethical fashion & accessories line made from waste materials also launching in 2018.
